The Outbreak of the War! What Started World War I?
At the Starting in 1914 the Europeans nations were building. Throughout the late 1800's and the 1900's, a number of factors were created problems among the powers of Europe that which started the stage of monumental war, like a flammable gasoline spilled in Europe, at any moment a little spark would ignite the whole continent. The European alliances (SHOWN IN MAP) were: Allied, Central, Neutral. As each nation viewed the others as competitors, and many people were willing to go to war to expand their nation at the expense of others like as Germany for example: Germany attacked France to expand, After when Germany attacked and defeated France to give up territory along German border. From that point France and Germany were enemies. To protect itself Germany signed alliances with Italy and with Austria-Hungary that which is known as the Triple Alliance. It alarmed Russian leaders that feared that Germany deliberate to expand eastward into Russia. Russia and France both don’t want Germany to expand. Another reason that the World War started is Nationalism. Nationalism was one of the reasons for the tensions among the European powers. Most basic ideas of nationalism is the right to self-determination: the idea that people who belong to a nation should have their own country and government. Among the groups pushing for nationalism (Independence) were Serbs, Bosnians, Croats and the Slovenes. Russia supported the Serbs. (Allied Power) They all fight for their independence against Austro-Hungarian empire. The Serbs were angry at the leader of Austria-Hungary Empire, the leader is Archduke Franz Ferdinand that which lead of the Assassination. That took responds of Austria-Hungary declaring war on Serbia. As Germany was an Allied for Astro-Hungarian. They respond on August 1, Germany declared war on Russia, two days later, Germany declared war on France. And World War I had begun...
